How does BFT work?

Body Fit training (BFT) offers strength-based training in a group setting, that is designed to get positive results for people of all fitness levels. The 50 minute workouts target cardio, functional movement, strength and balance, with a different focus from day-to-day.

Where did BFT come from?

Founded in 2017 in Melbourne, Australia by fitness industry veteran Cameron Falloon, BFT offers a community-based 50-minute functional training and strength-based program across 14 workouts.

Is BFT good for beginners?

It does not matter whether your goals are a fitness-based, nutrition-based, beginner, or advanced, they will cater to everyone. They keep us on our toes and help us achieve our goals. I have learned so much about improving my forms and techniques.

How does a BFT heart rate monitor work?

Our innovative heart rate monitoring system rewards you for all programs, not just cardio. You are rewarded for following the prescribed heart rate zones in your sessions to receive optimal outcomes. Each session that you attend will have a target PXI (Performance x Intensity) score based on the program.

Our bft programs

The goal of every week’s programming is to stress every energy system, train every muscle fiber type, and work through different planes of movement. Designed by an elite strength and conditioning coach, it’s a science-backed program originally developed for elite athletes, is now accessible for all fitness levels.

CREWFIT

Experience the ultimate high-energy class where teamwork is key! Equal parts synergy and performance, CrewFit will have you sweating it out with your fellow teammates as you work to improve endurance and efficiency across all energy systems through high-intensity cardio conditioning.

CARDIO U

This class is all about You(U)! A cardio session laser-focused on you, where each individual follows science-back and tested specifically prescribed heart rate zones to reach for work and recovery periods. You will keep moving at a lower intensity through the recovery periods, to bring your heart rate down to the recommended target zone, before cranking it back up to get those heart rates soaring again! A class designed to better understand where your physical limits lie and how quickly your body can recover from intense work periods, regardless of your level of fitness and conditioning.

HYPER

A high volume, hypertrophy style training with form and function as the main focus. Expect unilateral loaded movements, lateral movements and a slight twist on most of the conventional strength exercises we do. A class where almost every exercise will challenge your prime movers, your stabilizers and your core. This class will alternate between upper and lower body focus for the ultimate well-rounded resistance workout.

H.I.R.T

Stands for “High-Intensity Resistance Training”. This class offers three different styles of training in one class - EMOM “every minute on the minute”, AMRAP “as many reps as possible” & AFAP “as fast as possible”. A class designed to complement and reinforce the movement patterns taken in our Strength classes.”

XTX

A full body workout where you will work through metabolic complexes and resistance exercises. Targeting the aerobic system through both short and long-duration efforts will have your metabolism running to its fullest.

PUMP

A high-volume resistance class giving your muscles ultimate pump through isolation exercises. Targeting either upper or lower body muscle groups, this is a great class that keeps your metabolism high for up to 36 hours after the class.

CARDIO SUMMIT

This class will push your cardiovascular endurance to the limits. It has longer duration efforts specifically designed to target your aerobic energy system. It is aimed at improving your aerobic capacity to help you recover quicker in the short, high-intensity efforts you'll encounter across our other classes. A perfect test after taking our other cardio classes.

CARDIO HIIT

A High-Intensity Intermittent Training class where you will burn maximum calories and train at an intensity only possible in short bursts. Attack each short work period with everything you have and this class will have your heart rate elevated and you enjoying every second of the well-earned rest interval. Training at higher intensities will maximize the EPOC (Excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) effect where your body continues to burn calories post-workout to ensure you burn calories for up to 36 hours after the class.

BALANCED

A full-body workout that keeps you in balance by targeting all muscle groups in one class. Work through full ranges of motion as you improve mobility, stability, and ability through a range of unilateral and anti-rotational movements. This is a vital class in our programming to help get you moving more efficiently so you can maximize your performance across all our other classes.

STRENGTH ENDURANCE

This class is developed to get you stronger for longer! This resistance workout combines cardio and strength exercises utilizing similar muscle groups to build your strength endurance.

STRENGTH

Strength is the true foundation class for all of our BFT programs! Not only do these classes build overall strength through our compound lifts, but they are also designed to build lean muscle that will decrease your chance of injuries. You will be able to increase the amount of weight you are lifting as you learn to move and lift with proper form.

POWER

A class where you will express your strength through explosive movements at a fast pace. You will activate your fast twitch muscle fibers as you move through heavy lifts, plyometric and complex movements.

BEAST MODE

Bring out your inner beast with a combination of martial arts disciplines, including partner-work, bag-work, and some extra conditioning exercises. An fun-filled, action-packed team training class where you will let off steam and reap the rewards. This class is for all levels of boxing experience with our coaches there to show you the ropes!

SHRED

This class provides the best of both worlds, the perfect mix of high-intensity cardio and strength training. Build lean muscle and increase your aerobic capacity within the same class. This is the ultimate class for burning calories and building strength.
